He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde E. Howard, Sr. and Gladys E. Howard; his brother Clyde E. Howard (Junior); and his nephew William A. Howard. He is survived by: his wife April Joy-Howard; his children, Thor and Athena; his sister-in-law Marion Ethel Howard; his nieces, Elizabeth Howard and Dr. Patricia Chittams (Ralph); and his nephew Clyde E. Howard, 3rd.
