With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Josephine Marie Mitchell of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, born in Charlottesville, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Josephine Marie left this world on January 18, 2025 at the age of 100, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Ella Banks and Roosevelt Jones; her husband Reginald H. Mitchell Sr.; and her siblings, Arlene Jones Scott, Robert Jones and James Jones.

She is survived by: her children, Deborah Mitchell Seldon and Reginald Harrison Mitchell; her grandchildren, Ronald Harrison Seldon (Dionne) and Che Brown; and her great grandchildren, Ryan Mitchell Seldon, Alexis Melissa Seldon, Laila Marie DeShields and Phoenyx Brown. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
