She is survived by: her son Bacari Lea (Dana) of Upper Marlboro; her grandchildren, Chacci, Bakari, Kenny, Kamal, Khalid, Jamil and Nasir; her great grandchild Kairo; her sister Thelma Burton Chapman of Silver Spring, MD; her nephews, Alan Chapman (Keena), Damon Burton (Ella) and Jamal Burton (Alonya); her great-niece Jewel Paige-Chapman; her great-nephews, Malik, Donovan, Evan, Rhashed and Justin Burton; her uncle Arthur Throckmorton; and her aunt Nannie Roberts. She is also survived by other relatives, friends and co-workers.
