It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Nystrom (Upper Marlboro, Maryland), born in Paris, Illinois, who passed away on May 7, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Nystrom; and her siblings, Louie Hyten and Kathleen Hyde. She is survived by: her children, Linda Gaich (Walter) of Dunkirk, MD, Cindy Dodge (Brian) of Midlothian, VA, Suzie Jacobsen (Jeff) of Owings, MD, Mike Schwenk of Dunkirk, MD and Stacey Piazza (Mike) of Upper Marlboro, MD; and her grandchildren, Shawn Gaich, Tammy Gaich, Jaclyn Mussante, Anthony "Tony" Accetta, Cameron Dodge, Robin Riley, Jenica Dodge, Colleen O'Brien, Shannon O'Brien, Maria Jacobsen, Jessica Garner, Megan Warren, Nicole Langley, Katheryn Schwenk, Joshua Schwenk, Joseph Schwenk, Jesse Schwenk, Elizabeth Schwenk, Rebekah Schwenk, Michael Piazza, Jr. and Anthony "Tony" Piazza. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
