He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Andrew Ward and Ida Bell Ward; his brother Norman Ray Ward; and his nephew Wayne Ward. He is survived by: his wife Winnie B. Ward of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; his sons, William Rogers of Virginia Beach and Lloyd A. Ward, II (Roslyn) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; his grandsons, Elijah N. Ward of Upper Marlboro, Maryland and Emory J. Ward of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; his brother Ollie Ward (Bessie) of Washington, DC; his nieces, Tracy Ward of North Baldwin and Alicia Ward of Hyattsville, Maryland; his goddaughter Cherylyn Tompkins of Alexandria, Virginia; his sister-in-law Sara Ward of North Baldwin; and his aunts, Dorothy Gilbert and Elizabeth Gilbert.
