He was predeceased by: his parents, Almentia Williams McKan and Nathaniel Nicholas McKan; his wife Francine Perry McKan; and his brother-in-law Michael Perry. He is survived by: his friends, Earl, Tyrone, Rosa and Pam; his son Christopher D. McKan; his grandsons, Christopher D. McKan, Jr. and Shia Carter Pete; his sister LaVerne M. Tucker (Lawrence B., Jr.); and his sisters-in-law, Wanda "Trudy" Robinson (Terry), Pamela Bates (late Larry) and Dorene "Renie" Black (Reginald). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
