It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Charlton Harrington (Upper Marlboro, Maryland), born in Queens, New York, who passed away on September 19, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charlton Harrington and Audrey Harrington; his wife Cheryl; his sons, Stephen (Michelle) and Christopher (Kai); his grandchildren, Micah, Lincoln and Naomi; his mother-in-law Gertrude Salmon; and his siblings-in-law, Dianne Grenier (Gene), Janice Forde and David Forde. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Outside of work, Harrington served on the Board of Directors of Dimensions Health Care, Bowie State University, Eugene and Agnes Meyer Foundation, and Greater Baden Hospital. He was Chair of the Board of Anacostia River Keeper; CommonHealth ACTION; if, a Foundation for Radical Possibility; and Chair of the National Advisory Council of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation; Redevelopment Authority of Prince George's County.
