He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest William and Sarah Rebecca Carter (Sears); his daughter Sarah Rebecca Carter Boone; his siblings, Roy Carter, Joseph Carter and Mary Burroughs; and his siblings-in-law, Austin Clark, Richard Burroughs and Katherine Carter.
He is survived by: his nephew James Loveless; his siblings, Ernest "Teddy" Carter, Jr., Molly Carter and Ruth Clark; his son-in-law Michael Boone; and his sister-in-law Debra Carter. He is also survived by his family and friends.
