He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Griffin and Mamie Griffin; and his sister Charlene. He is survived by: his brothers, Martin, Madison and Charles; his wife Georgetta Nelson; his children, Michael (Dawn), Reginald (Toby) and Monica; his brothers, Malcolm and Robert; his grandchildren, Michael, Loy, Gerald, Janae, Jalen and Javon; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Anniyah, Alexander, Aeris, Rion, Me'Lani, Javier, Julian and Levi. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
