With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bertie Herbert Bowman (Upper Marlboro, Maryland), who passed away on October 25, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine King Bowman; and his daughter Arnetta Bowman. He is survived by: his children, Gregory Bowman (Laura), Charlene Bowman-Smart, Wilbert "Sal" Bowman, Bertie "Benjie" Bowman (Natasha), Gloria Tetteh and LaUanah King-Cassell (Theodore); and his siblings, Larry Bowman (Lisa), Jimmy Bowman (Joyce) and Dorothy Floyd (Ellis). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great great-grand child; and a host of other relatives and friends.
