With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Ruth Mattis of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, born in Watertown, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 4, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin "Ned" Madill and Helen Madill (Daines); her husband Ronald Aaron Mattis, Sr.; her daughter Kelly Lynn Mattis; her siblings, Richard Madill and Sandy Surace; and her son-in-law Quinten Isom.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine Mattis-Isom and Ronald Aaron Mattis, Jr. (Shannon Mattis); her grandchildren, Cassie Aurelio, Amanda Mattis, Lexy Leicht (Julian), Sydney Isom, Kyle Mattis, Ainsley Mattis and Ryan Mattis; her great grandchildren, Ceceila "CeCe" Aurelio, Parker Mattis and Chace Aurelio; her daughter Gina Inscoe (Rick); and her granddaughters, Samantha Capell (Michael) and Julia Cornwall (Michael). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association in Barbara's memory.
