She was predeceased by: her parents, Augusta Brooks and Adina Brooks; her sons, Wayne and Gregory; her husband Joseph McKinley Greenfield; and her siblings, Alberta Christian, Sarah Brooks, Rebecca Carter, Matilda Gross, Berdina Magruder and Robert Lee Brooks.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Alonzo Greenfield (Esther LaVerne) and LaVern Denise Walker (Major General William); her grandson Kenneth Shelby Adams Jr.; her siblings, Beatrice Hawkins and Augustus Brooks; her sister-in-law Catherine Brooks; her cousin Irene Savoy; and her goddaughters, Gloria Brooks and Wandra Powell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
