He was predeceased by: his parents, Rauland H. Roop and T. Ann Roop; his former wife Phyllis A. Pineda; and his siblings-in-law, Vickie Roop and Charlie Stambaugh.
He is survived by: his children, Michael N. Roop (Michelle) of Westminster, Timothy S. Roop (Angela) of New Windsor and Kitty A. Owings (Jesse) of Westminster; his grandchildren, Michael Jr., Kyle, Miranda, Ciana, Kristen, Hailey, Adam, Ryan, Shawn and Jesse; and his siblings, R. Steven Roop of Texas, Samuel K. Roop (Mary Jane) of Thurmont, Jan Stambaugh of Delaware and Tom Parrish. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
