We are sad to announce that on May 11, 2021, at the age of 88, Mary Catherine Dowery of Union Bridge, Maryland, born in Frederick, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Thomas; her husband Elwood M. Dowery Sr.; and her sons, Ralph Dowery and Elwood M. Dowery Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Owens (Thomas) of Westminster, Janet Dowery of Mt. Airy, Carter Thomas of Columbia, SC and Jeffrey Dowery (Teresa) of Union Bridge; and her friends, Barbara Carroll and Edith Pfoutz. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wearing masks and social distancing will be in effect for the visitation and funeral.
