He was predeceased by: his son Mahlon Simmons; and his sister Veronica Harding Perkins. He is survived by: his parents, Mahlon Joseph Simmons and Connie Sue Simmons (Kuhn); his wife Kimberly Simmons; his children, MJ and Marissa; and his sister Wanda Greene (Simmons).
