He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Mackley Sr. and Margaret Fleischman Mackley; his wife Annabelle Heffner Mackley; his daughter Brenda Lee Carbaugh (Robert "Bob" Carbaugh); and his son-in-law David "Gus" Wilson.
He is survived by: his daughter Teresa A. Wilson of Westminster; and his grandchildren, John R. Wilson (Amy), Jennifer Wagner (Dustin) and Janice Weishaar (John). He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hartzler Funeral Home-Union Bridge (6 E Broadway St, Union Bridge, MD 21791). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
