He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin C. Knauer, Sr. and Elnora McWilliams Knauer; his son Irvin Carl Knauer III (Butch); and his grandson John Andrew Windsor. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Eunice Knauer; his children, Shirley Ann Windsor (Carlton), Jean Ann Frampton, Lou Diefenderfer (Sonny) and Patti K. DeWitt (Bob); and his siblings, Franklin Knauer (Cathy) and Carolyn Knauer. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
