He is survived by: his wife Carol Cantler of Tracy's Landing; his son David Cantler, Sr. of Tracy's Landing; his grandchildren, David Cantler, Jr. (Pamela) of Annapolis, Todd Cantler of Melbourne, FL, Hannah Richardson of Grasonville and Lindsay Kasprzak of Annapolis; his great grandchildren, Victoria, Brianna, David Louis of Annapolis, Tucker, Landon, Jackson and Mackenzie of Grasonville; and his siblings, William "Jimmy" of Annapolis, George of Annapolis, Eric Cantler of Annapolis, Mary Cantler of Los Angeles, CA, Veronica "Ronnie" Parkinson of Stevensville, Marie Black of Harwood and Rae "Sissy" Caldwell of Riva. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
