He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dorvan Carl and Helen Carl; his children, Brenda Carl Suthers (Doug Suthers) of Parkville and Richard David Carl, Jr. (Sharon Carl) of Westminster Md; his grandchildren, Rebecca Plum Thomas (Ben), Daniel Bridges (Marisa), Jacob Carl Ben (Madison Wolf) and Annabelle Leigh Brown; his great grandchild Theo Cooper Plum; his spouse Shirley Frances Carl; his children, Julie A. Brown (Thomas) of Parkville and Daniel L. Carl; his grandchildren, Rebecca Plum Tom (Ben), Jacob Carl (Madison Wolf), Ben Carl (Becca) and Annabelle Brown; his great grandchild Theodore Plum; his brothers, Bill Carl and Jack Carl; his siblings-in-law, Bonnie, George Sybert and Ron Wagner; and also Shirley. He was also cherished by extended family and friends.
He survived a pandemic, but could not withstand the ravages of Alzheimer's Disease.
