She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin Welsh; and her parents, Alfred Lang and Ernestine Lang. She is survived by: her children, Cockeysville, Christine Swanson, Michael Welsh (Eileen), Theresa Welsh, James Welsh (Mary) and Robert Welsh (Jenny); and her grandchildren, Jessica Thurmon (Jamie), Bryan Swanson (Erica), Sarah Swanson (Mitchell), Sean Welsh, Kyle Welsh, Paul Welsh (Jenna), David Welsh, Maura Pierce (Justin), Joshua Welsh (Tara), Justin Welsh, Ryan Welsh (Allie), Sara Bardzik (Tim) and Rachel Reinke (Justin). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. (1050 York Rd, Towson, MD 21204). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
