He was predeceased by: his former wife Theodora Pappas Poletis; his wife Jean Lee Foreman Spanos; his girlfriend Margaret Simpson; and his siblings, Evangelos Spanos, Claire Cambourakis, Demetra Balmer and Nicholas Spanos.
He is survived by: his children, Constance Kerrigan (John), Stephanie Morville (late Buck Coleman), Kathleen Mendez (William), Timothy Spanos (Kristin), Lisa Marshall (Donnell), Allison Bessette (Paul) and Stacey Knemeyer (Michael). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (2504 Cub Hill Rd, Parkville, MD 21234). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:45 AM at the same location.
