She was predeceased by: her husband Norbert Erich Schirmer; and her sister Doris Kemler Gallagher. She is survived by: her children, Stephanie Schirmer Ayers, David A. Schirmer and Ben B. Schirmer; her grandsons, Alexander Joseph Ayers and David A. Schirmer, II; her great-nephew Bill; her great-niece Meghan Hardy; her friend Eileen Connolly; and also Peg Hardy.
