He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Norman Yoder and Lillian Pearl Yoder; his stepmother Mary A. Yoder; and his siblings, William Yoder, Velma Sullivan, John Yoder and Helen Poe.

He is survived by: his spouse Jerrie Yoder; his children, Brent Yoder (Lisa Brown) and Suzanne Yoder; his grandchildren, Richard John Schouten, Jacob Wynn Schouten, Madison and Briar Brown; and his brother-in-law Richard C. Poe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be in his name to Towson United Methodist Church.
