He was predeceased by: his spouse Nimfa Mauleon Vargas; his parents, Donato Torres Vargas, Sr. and Marcela Vargas; and his siblings, William, Virginia and Edith.

He is survived by: his sons, John Vargas (Brooke), Jason Vargas (Itien) and Joseph Vargas (Lucy); his grandchildren, Harper, Emerson, Colin, Brandon, Lily and Paige; and his siblings, Henry, Jesse, Romeo, Juliet, Fleur, Violy and Cynthia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
