It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Gates (Towson, Maryland), who passed away on April 6, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Gates to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his brothers, Harvey Gates and Earl Gates. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Lynn Gates; his children, Jill Noel Lloyd (Kevin Lloyd), Dustin David William Gates (Elizabeth Gates) and Kimberly Greenwood; and his grandchildren, Zachary Knotts, Cassidy Knotts, Spencer Knotts, Ashton Greenwood and Connor Greenwood.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Family Owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home (1050 York Rd, Towson, MD 21204). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. (1050 York Rd, Towson, MD 21204).

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in David's memory to the Maryland SPCA.

“Dear Sheila and family. J My sympathies to you and your family I wanted to go to the funeral however I am mostly house bound and unable to drive and trouble walking. Was unable to get someone to take me. So sorry. My sympathies goes out to you and yours! 😢 We use to keep in touch by Facebook but he stopped contact with me. I miss him very much Robert, Myself and David were born within a few months of each other and were all close growing up. I am sorry you all also lost contact with me”
