She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Underwood and Zelma Underwood; and her sister Linda Galford. She is survived by: her children, Michael Palumbo (Beth), Frankie Palumbo (Lisa) and Teriann Palumbo Hammond (Russell); her grandchildren, Emily, Madeleine, Griffin and Riley; and her sisters, Nancy Couch and Joyce Merson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bosley United Methodist Church in the name of Carol Palumbo (14800 Thornton Mill Rd, Sparks Glencoe, MD 21152).
