He was predeceased by: his parents, Marianne Gieryic of Dover and Charles Gieryic of White City; and his mother-in-law Mildred Warunek (Hudock) of Dupont, Pennsylvania.. He is survived by: his wife Lucille Lynn Warunek-Gieryic of Parkton; his children, Emerson Andrea Gieryic of Allentown, Pennsylvania and Matthew Gieryic-Christensen of Alexandria, Alabama.; his siblings, Robert Gieryic of Dover, Thomas Gieryic (Karen) of Albany, Georgia, Elisabeth Sturgill (Gieryic) of Dover, Michael Gieryic (Marie) of Eagle River and Jacqueline Gillespie (Bryan) of Bennington, Nebraska.; his father-in-law Frank Warunek of Dupont; and his siblings-in-law, Wanda Menefee (Mark) and Christopher Warunek (Wendy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Andreas' memory to the Johns Hopkins Brain Tumor Center, where groundbreaking research and treatments are advancing the fight against brain cancer.
