He was predeceased by: his children, Dr. Susan Lynn Shackman and Bruce David Shackman; and his parents, Clara Shackman and Nathan Shackman. He is survived by: his wife Riva Shackman; his stepdaughters, Leslie Fields (Robert) and Penny Merican; and his sister Jean Pollack. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
