James Farantos Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Farantos of Timonium, Maryland, who passed away on January 3, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sophia Farantos and Andrew Farantos; and his daughter Georgia Farantos. He is survived by: his wife Demetra Farantos (Kokolis); his children, Sophia (Warren Hobbs) and Andrew (Alexia Melagakos); his grandchildren, Anna (Sean MacCuish), Demetra (Mikey Dulny), Dimitri Farantos, Dimitri Hobbs and Amalia Hobbs; and his great grandchildren, Kingston, Lexi and Silas.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral (24 W Preston St, Baltimore, MD 21201). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Cemetery (2504 Cub Hill Rd, Parkville, MD 21234).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation for the Capital Campaign.
