With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Ott Sr. of Thurmont, Maryland, born in Emmitsburg, Maryland, who passed away on September 27, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Christopher Ott and Virginia Baugher Ott; his son Christopher Glenn Ott; and his siblings, Charles R. Ott, John T. "Sonny" Ott, Francis C. "Petie" Ott and Patricia A. Glass.

He is survived by: his children, Richard A. "Tony" Ott Jr. (Lori) of Taneytown, Melanie A. Page (John) of Dallas, TX and Patrick J. Ott (Jordon) of Steven's Point, WI; his grandchildren, Richard III, Kiel, Emily, Allison, Tayman, Rebecca Ott, Cayla Huether, Robert Wilhide (Brooke), Casey Plunkard, Jeremy Page and Alexandra Lucksted (Bradley); and his great grandchildren, Nicholas Ott, Logan Wilmoth, Brynn, Kylie and Layton Wilhide.
