He is survived by: his parent Ethel Matheny Rice; his spouse Nancy Gearhart Rice; his son James B. Rice; his grandson Corey Rice of Rocky Ridge; his son Darren L. Rice; his granddaughter Olivia Rice of Greencastle, PA.; his sister Audrey Demarais; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Rice, Carol Long (Bob), Janice Snyder (Moe) and Charlie Gearhart.
