Joseph Riffle Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Riffle of Thurmont, Maryland, who passed away on April 2, 2021 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Riffle to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles C. Riffle and Mary K. Riffle (McCarney); and his siblings, William Riffle (Nancy) and Felicia Albert (Francis). He is survived by: his wife Lois M. Riffle (Stitely); his children, Wanda Campbell (Steve) of Marblehead, OH, David Riffle (Betty) of Thurmont, MD and Lori Cobb (Danny) of Hagerstown, MD.; his grandchildren, Cory Campbell (Shelley), Kevin Riffle (Megan) and Emily Cobb; his great grandchildren, Mason, Taylor Campbell, Scarlette, Devin Riffle and Addilyn Berger; his sisters-in-law, Beatrice Bentz, Catherine Atkins, RuthAnn Miller and Minna Stitely; and his daughters, Amy and Jennifer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID social distancing requirements, a memorial service for Joe will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1:00 p. m. at the Thurmont Event Complex, 13716 Strafford Dr., Thurmont, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Thurmont Community Ambulance Service, 27 N. Church St., Thurmont, MD 21788 or the Thurmont United Methodist Church, 13880 Long Rd., Thurmont, MD 21788.
