He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Ulysses Young Jr. of Frederick and Geraldine Natoma Kemp Young of Frederick; his wife Ruth E. "Sara" McCrossin Young; and his brother Dennis Wayne Young. He is survived by: his daughters, Tina R. Young and Shanholtzer (Kelly T. Shanholtzer) of Thurmont, MD; his grandson Justin T. Shanholtzer of Thurmont, MD; his sister Natoma I. Young Baker (Larry Baker); and his nieces, Stephanie Jones and Dana Ludwig (Duane).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes (106 E Church St, Frederick, MD 21701). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
