He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Smith and Florence Ecker Smith. He is survived by: his pets, Jenny and Shay; his close friend Ginger Graybill; his children, Edward E. Smith and Jo Ann Kerns (Wally Boggs); his grandchildren, Kelsey Kerns Shuff, Deanna Smith, Kaylee Smith, Edward Smith Jr. and Robert Smith Jr.; his great grandchildren, Robert Smith III, Easton, Ensley Shuff, Ali Smith, Colton Lynch, Ryleigh Perella and Heaven Baskerville; his siblings, Ann Smith, Rodney Smith, Ruth Rhoades (Ralph) and Mary Jane Carty; and his children, Robin Wilhide Smith and Beverly Hoke of Thurmont. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, Ginger's children, and grandchildren.
