He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Long and Ruth Troxell Long; his son Davey Long; and his siblings, Franklin Long, Jr., Frances Dreith, Elizabeth Auldridge, Naomi Winifred O'Connor and Blanche Keilholtz.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Long; his children, Gloria Rollins (Gary), Steve Long (Jane) and Janice Long (Steve Insley); and his siblings, Gloriae Green, Harold Long (Peggy), Raymond Long (Naomi) and Carole Beauchamp (Dan). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great-granddaughters, one great-grandson and another great-granddaughter.
