He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis "Gene" and Eva Warthen (Wagerman); his wife Doris Marie Warthen (Stambaugh); his siblings, John Warthen, Jeanne Bobanic (Michael Bobanic) and Steven Warthen; and his sister-in-law Frances Clem.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Marie Wyatt (William "Chris") of Thurmont and Paul David Warthen (Ashley) of Mt. Airy; his sister Monica Elder (Arthur) of Emmitsburg; his siblings-in-law, Kathleen Warthen of Fairfield, PA, Lois Late of Thurmont, Celia Fraley (Carroll) of Thurmont and Lyman Stambaugh (Betty); his grandchildren, Daniel Hoke (Lucy) of Libertytown, Steven Hoke of Thurmont, Michael Hoke (Morgan) of Sabillasville, Sara Wyatt of White Marsh and Katherine Fields (Jacob) of Jefferson; his great grandchildren, Michael J. Hoke Jr., Emerson Hoke, Wyatt Fields and Levi Fields; and his nephew Michael Bobanic.
