He was predeceased by: his sisters, Mary Knott, Mildred Cline (Roy) and Ida Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Emogene Harper Michael; his grandchildren, Charlie, Jamie, Jason, Justin Frushour, Mike Metz and Krystal O'Neill; and his great grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Sarah, Garrett, Katie, Ally, Amanda, Billy, Wade Frushour, Kyle Shorb, Chase Palamar and Brynn Metz.

Memorial donations be made to the Lewistown District Volunteer Fire Department, 11101 Hessong Bridge Road, Thurmont, MD 21788 or to Hospice of Frederick County, PO Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
