She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl G Youngerman and Lucille Yancey Youngerman; her husband John Samuel Cody; her grandson John Samuel Cody; and her siblings, Clara Fraley, George and James Youngerman.
She is survived by: her children, James "Jay" Cody (Tracie) of Thurmont, MD, Carla Cody of Chester, VA and Barbara Jean Cody of Thurmont, MD.; her grandchildren, Sarah Orr, Rachel Cody, Cody Davis and Emily Davis; her great grandchildren, Conor Burkett of Robert, Summerville, Adriana Mitchell and Monroe Mitchell; and her brother Joseph Youngerman of Killeen, TX..
