She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton DeShields Travers and Catherine Byrne Callis Travers; her husband Robert "Bobby" Jones; her daughter Dawn Marie Stephens; and her siblings, Clayton Travers, Annetta Griffin, Judith Schell and Susan Hunt.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine "Carrie" Stewart (Wes) of Hughesville, MD and Shannon Safewright of Temple Hills, MD.; her grandchildren, Lisa Stephens, Steven Stewart, Nathan Stephens, Tyler Stewart, Zachary Stephens, Anthony Safewright, Shawnee Safewright, Tawnee Safewright and Vincent Deavers; and her siblings-in-law, Kay Trayband of Wake, VA, Mary Travers of Waverly Hall, GA and Robert Schell of North Carolina. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
