He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bowman and Lucille Bowman (Dorsey). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bowman; his daughter Phyllis Bowman Whitehead (Kenneth); his stepsons, Linwood Parks and Travis Mitchell; his grandchildren, Tenia Parks, Leilani Parks, Orlando Parks, Dequan McKenny, Tequilla Devaughn and Tatiana Mitchell; his sister Veronica "Elnora" Milstead; and his goddaughters, Lisa Marshall and Rose Washington. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home (3439 Livingston Rd, Indian Head, MD 20640). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church (7750 Poorhouse Rd, La Plata, MD 20640).
