She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeremiah Geddis and Hester Geddis; her son Marvin LaVern; her sisters, Hester Casey and Hattie May; and her uncle James.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence James (CJ); her children, Connie Jean Brown of Oak Park, MI, Doris Marie Brown (Oxon Hill, MD), Clarence James Jr., Patrice Larell Brown (Temple Hills, MD) and CJ; her daughter-in-law Donnita Pringle (Teddy); and her sister Dr. Thomasina M. Portis (Rosetta Kawana). She is also survived by 21 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 21 Great- Great Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
