He was predeceased by: his parents, Cramer Johnson Eyler and Ruth Louise Eyler (Cole). He is survived by: his close friend Elaine Luhn (Chenault); his children, Vernon Eyler, Jr. (Rebecca) of Boonsboro and Lisa Doody (Craig) of Rocky Ridge; his stepdaughters, Jackie Luhn of Taneytown, Lisa Luhn of Westminster and Melissa Stonesifer (Shane) of Taneytown; his brothers, Robert Eyler (Betty) of Frederick and John Eyler (Kay) of Frederick; his grandchildren, Brandan Renner, Brittany Nails, Jess Carnell, Jeb Eyler, Matthew, Joshua, Allison, Shaun and Shane Doody; and his stepgrandchildren, Jaden Morgan, Xavier Shaffer, Hailey Stonesifer and Ava Luhn.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family memorial service will be held at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown, MD.
