He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn M. Peterson and Elton C. E. Peterson; and his brother Elton Peterson. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Elaine Koons; his children, Susan K. Purcell (Keith), Stuart C. Peterson, Jr. (Lisa) and Steven J. Peterson (Winona); and his brother Robert Peterson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
