Robert Flickinger Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Flickinger of Taneytown, Maryland, who passed away on January 1, 2021 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Flickinger to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William K. Flickinger and Hilda M. Flickinger (Zepp); and his son-in-law Jeffrey Greenholt. He is survived by: his wife Fairy Louise Flickinger (Frock); his children, Judith Ann "Judy" Greenholt Roberts (Glenn) of Bethany Beach, DE and Blaine Allen Flickinger (Karen) of New Windsor; his grandsons, Keith Greenholt (Julie) of Pittsburgh, PA, Kyle Greenholt (Maryann) of York, PA, Sean Flickinger (Amanda) and S. Marine Corps; and his sisters, Doris Eckard of Littlestown, PA and Jean Berwager of Taneytown. He is also survived by 5 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous step-great-grandchildren.
Due to pandemic restrictions, a private funeral service for the family will be held at 2:00 p. m. on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Taneytown (for those unable to attend, services will be livestreamed via the funeral home's Facebook page at (https: //http://www.facebook.com).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the City of Taneytown c/o: "Robert Flickinger Fund" (designated for planting trees in Taneytown parks); Grace United Learning Center; or to Taneytown Lions Club.
