Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Rick Berner (Taneytown, Maryland), born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away at the age of 76, on August 31, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Richard Berner, Sr. and Grace Berner (Siemon); and his sister Barbara Jean Berner. He is survived by: his wife Anne Elizabeth Berner (Monahan); his children, George Richard "Rick" Berner of Truckee, CA, Pamela Levesque (Raymond) of Westminster, MD and John Paul Berner (Sara) of Centennial, CO; his grandchildren, Joshua, Connor, Jenna Levesque, Jonah and Eve Berner; and his brother John Berner (Kim) of Derry, NH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private service for family members will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 Frederick St., Taneytown, MD 21787, with the Rev. Martin McGeough, C. M. as celebrant. Burial will also be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church at the above address or to the Alzheimer's Association, 108 Byte Dr., Suite 103, Frederick, MD, 21702.
