He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Hickey and Shirley Hickey Ruth; and his wife Loretta Hickey. He is survived by: his son Michael Hickey, Jr.; his grandson Asher Hickey; his sister Cindy Colbert (Butch) of Surf City, NC; and his niece Amanda Miller (Phil) of Surf City, NC..
