She was predeceased by: her mother Betty Nelson of Union Bridge; and her husband Destry Gastgeb of Taneytown. She is survived by: her father David Nelson (Mary Nelson) of Union Bridge; her brother Kenneth Nelson (Stacey) of Keymar; her children, Zachary Howard of Taneytown, Megan Gastgeb of Taneytown, Brittanee Myers (Casey) of South Carolina, Brandon Gastgeb of Hagerstown, Kaeley Craney and Riley Craney of Delaware; her nieces, Taylor Nelson of Keymar and Autumn Pefley (Caleb) of Taneytown; her great-niece Nora June; her grandchildren, Brantley of South Carolina, Mia of South Carolina and Haevyn Myers of South Carolina; and her sons, Mason and Jeremy Witzler.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Laura's name to the Megan Gastgeb Educational.
