He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gloyd and Nannie Cromwell; and his spouse Jean W. Gloyd. He is survived by: his children, Beverly Malzahn (Chris) of Stafford, VA, Diane Gloyd of Taneytown and Joseph Gloyd, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Katie Malzahn of Richmond, VA and Michael Malzahn of Denver, CO; and his brother Albert Gloyd.
