We are sad to announce that on October 22, 2021, at the age of 93, John Hess Jr. of Taneytown, Maryland, born in Baltimore, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John George Hess, Sr. and Mary Long Hess; his wife Margaret Ellen Sherman Hess; his son Richard Hess; and his grandson Gary Hess, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Gary "Butch" Hess of Taneytown, Douglas Hess (Diane) of Finksburg, John M. Hess (Brenda) of Upperco, JoAnn Ferrare (Michael) of Taneytown, Diana Blevins (Jim) of Pittsburgh and Paula Hess (Taneytown); and his grandchildren, Shayne Hess of Raleigh, Bryan Hess of Finksburg, Matthew Hess of Hanover, Daniel Hess of Orlando, Jennifer Diffenbaugh of Westminster, Kelly Ferrare of Baltimore, Mason Hess of Lancaster, Christopher Hess of Sarasota, Chelsea Harshman of Pittsburgh, Jassette Blevins of Pittsburgh, Jalena Frye of Pittsburgh and Lynnelle Marucci of Erie. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
