He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Harris and Bessie Catharine Ricketts Harris; his brother Jack Harris; his brother-in-law Ron Brady; and his nephew Mike Harris.

He is survived by: his spouse Jean L. Eppler Harris; his children, Tammy Harris of Frederick, Brian Harris of Taneytown and Steven Harris of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Tyler Harris of Gettysburg, PA and Cheyenne Gonzalez (Jose) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his siblings, Joan Brady of Frederick and Jim Harris (Darlene) of Union Bridge; his brother-in-law Fred Eppler (Emma) of Westminster; his nieces and nephews, Terry Harris (Sandy), Chris Harris (Tracy), Jeff Luttrell (Deedee), Cathy Joy (Alan), Nick Luttrell, Chuck Eppler (Tammy) and Tom Eppler (Donna); and his cousins, Shirley Smith (Carroll) and Skip Ricketts (Mary Ann).

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there will be no public visitation or service.
